The art of winning is cultivating the ‘HABIT’ of stopping. Stopping is the hardest thing to do in this game, especially stopping when you are winning. but stopping is essential to winning. They both go hand in hand. There are many ways to stop. You can be forced to stop by using up all your resources (the most depressing way to stop) or you can stop when you profits are being depleted to the point when it makes no sense to continue or you can stop when you are comfortably in front and feel your best. The best time to stop is when you are in front and feel your best. Develop the habit of stopping at this point. Over time you will develop a trigger mechanism where you will be conditioned to stop by your subconscious when things are just right. The longer you stay at the table, your decision making capabilities become adversely impaired so it is always wise to ‘LEARN’ TO STOP’ before this impairment sets in.

Stop when ahead is easy, but I can never stop when in a state of losing.Still cannot improve the emotion.

if you earn or lose one-third of your bankroll, you should give up playing anymore.

LuckyJack, you are correct. Learning to STOP is one
of the skills I discuss on the
Advanced Strategy Discussion page.

Its best to have a set bankroll of what you are willing to lose. Never forget that. This is the best way to control ones emotions at play. If you do loose, at least you were willing to…........” It feels so much better playing with a bankroll you don’t give a damn about, no stress, no pressure. Relax, after all, you where going to spend it on something any way…..lol

I will be in Atlantic City in mid sept.
and once again honing the skills. I have a couple favorite casinos
that I play at. Hilton, Ballys, Taj Mahal. These casinos are very relaxed and
player friendly. I enjoy the boardwalk there and Love to people watch
during breaks between play. In and out of casinos and up and down the
boardwalk in the rickshaws while eating pretzels. aahhh thats the life.
