So deposited £10 at a well known online casino, picked a strategy which was basically to pick 3 numbers (no bets) do 50-70 spins and 80% of the time one of the 3 numbers would not have hit, so id start betting it. Id have enough progression to get 140 spins meaning number chosen would have to be vacant for 210 spins for me not to win.

The £10 grew in to £90 within 2 days, things going well. Now i decided to introduce a 63 spin game to limit any potential losses (which id very rarely got near to 63 spins before a win anyway) yup, you guessed it, i started loosing, little by little, i then started chasing (dumbass) i let the game get to me. I was sticking to number say 21 and before each spin i was guessing what would pop up in my head (just for fun) and 4/5 came to mindscrew me further, until eventually i dragged myself away and withdrew £42, not bad from a £10 initial stake, but frustrating knowing it was at £90 at one point also.

Still a profits a profit, i think i need a break from the wheels for abit my head is hurting lol

I have done extensive research on missing numbers. What I came up with is a formula 700/X. Where X is the quantity of numbers that could be missing for a maximum amount of spins.
Meaning that 10 numbers could fail to show up for 70 consecutive spins MAX. (700/10).  After that point one of them must show up. And 6 numbers have a maximum missing limit of 116 spins. ( 700/6). Of course this is an ultra conservative formula, and it’s very hard to see 10 numbers missing for 70 spins. You might be in the casino all day and you probably won’t see it. But it’s not unusual to find out that 10 numbers can be missing in 60 consecutive spins.
So as you write down numbers for your own system, and you see X numbers missing for close to 700/X spins, your chances for profit by playing those X numbers is very very high.

As far as 3 numbers only, according to this formula could be missing or be VACANT as you put it,  for 700/3=233 spins MAXIMUM.. Then one of them has to show up. Of course that’s the MAX. limit. Chances are they will show up sooner than that. So if you have enough bankroll to start playing 3 numbers for 140 spins, after they are vacant for 50-70- spins, it’s a lot better to wait to be missing for at least 125 spins (very easy to happen), this way you save money by waiting 125 spins, then start your progression. And it’s best to write numbers from 3 different roulettes (in a live casino), For sure one of them will have the situation where 3 numbers are vacant for 125 spins, even 150 spins. IMAGINE THE ADVANTAGE YOU WILL HAVE. YOU WILL BE 55 SPINS AHEAD (125-70).
there IS A DIFFERENCE HOWEVER between picking in advance 3 numbers randomly, and follow them,  than following any 3 numbers that are missing already.

I appreciate your answer but i have seen it proved wrong, I have seen any 1 number go missing for up to 350 spins, some people claim to have seen 500+ spins

Oh no what I meant was ANY 3 NUMBERS together.  ONE NUMBER according to the formula can be missing for 700 spins (700/1). BUT ANY 3 NEVER. THE MAXIMUM VACANCY FOR ANY 3 NUMBERS IS 233 SPINS (700/3).
That’s the extreme ultra conservative limit.  If some people claim 1 number missing 500 spins it’s probably true.

As a matter of fact I was playing the same exact system with 6 NUMBERS missing just a few spins under 100. The problem was it was taking a long time to get to that point. 6 number vacant almost 100 spins.
One day I was waiting 13 hours to see this condition. But when it happens the roulette has no chance to beat you. Almost 99.9% you’ll walk away a winner.
Of course if you hit one of the 6 numbers, you have to stop. The remaining 5 numbers have a vacancy limit 140 spins (700/5).
