There's plenty of good info here...and plenty that's not so good. It shoudn't take you long to be able to make an informed match of posters to the quality of their info.

When I first ventured into the internet "forumsphere" my greatest fear was not of getting flamed, but of getting ignored. I can almost guarantee that won't happen here, but you may want to review lone irish digit's catalog of crapshooter apparel ;);) lest you stumble into one of the many food fights.

Thanks for the replies/advice. I live in the north Austin area and I can count on 2 hands the amount of times I’ve played in the casinos. Mostly in Vegas (Aria/Paris/once in Lake Charles). I only play 3 numbers with the pass and come doubling the odds. I’ve read one book Winning Casino Craps by Silberstang and use it as a reference. Looking forward to learning some other strategies. I even built a 10’ craps table in the garage to get as “realistic” as possible. Not as pretty as a casino’s but does the job. I built is as regulation as possible width and height wise with a felt under the layout. I understand it’s not regulation length, but I like throwing the dice and handling the chips vs an app.

When you asked if this was my first forum I admit I thought that was the bait for the flame.

That's Texas , however those in the know , know that Rudy's has
hands down the best brisket in the country

Salt lick is going strong. In fact they opened up another location in Round Rock. Not as good as the original IMHO. I got a buddy whose a serious BBQ aficionado and says the pits aren’t as cured. Who knows. I just know the taste is a little different. The brisket at SL is definitely not as good as Rudy’s moiste but you can’t beat the SLs beef ribs. Damn they’re tasty. But a short trip to the Lockhart/Luling area and you may find better...of both.

People can be very passionate about BBQ here in TX. After reading some of the posts on this forum it could almost be as passionate as a conversation about dice influencing. Almost.

We have eaten at Salt Lick numerous times , they are different ,
and their differences make them appealing to me at different times
I won't pass one to get to the other.
